Music Review: Talking Dreams

So this time it's been five months since I've posted. Cringe. But I've been listening to more music and watching more movies so more reviews are sure to follow.

The Basics:

Talking Dreams is sibling-based indie-rock band Echosmith's debut album. It's theme is a common one with a twist: teenagers having fun--clean, alchohol- and drug-free fun. With positive lyrics and upbeat tunes, it's no wonder their singles, and their album as a whole, has become so popular.

Movie Review: Mockingjay Part One

The Basics:

Mockingjay Part One is the much anticipated third installment in the Hunger Games movie series. It follows protagonist Katniss Everdeen as she struggles with the results of the "rebellion she never wanted". But, want it or not, Katniss is about to enter into a war--of both physical and mental state--against the narcissistic President Snow.

Book Review: Cinder

I haven't posted on here in three months, it's insane! I actually forgot about this blog completely, haha.

Anyway, I finished Cinder a while ago but I've been way too lazy to review it! So now I'm finally making my first review in months on this book.

The Basics:

Cinder is Marissa Meyer's debut novel. It's a futuristic, dystopian retelling of the Cinderella fairy tale and in it, cyborg mechanic Cinder learns that she isn't the plain, orphan robot that she thought she was. This book is a quick read for fast readers, and even for slow readers it's only like three or four days' worth. But even though it's a kind of short book, it's still a good one.

Book Review: Monument 14

The Basics:

Monument 14 is the debut novel of Emmy Laybourne. It's a young adult survival book about a group of fourteen teenagers and little kids who end up trapped inside a department store during a natural disaster that turns out to be not so natural.
